    Hi,

I was setting up the emails, with email templates turned off.

I never sent any email, however, I was capturing abandoned carts and I already have 2 recovered. How is this counting the recovered if the plugin has not done anything yet?

I went to the recovered orders and there is no email history there.

Well, and why does the plugin counts as if it was the plugin recovering that order?

That makes no sense and it just shows wrong stats for me to know how the plugin is actually working.

That doesn’t really seem like a good practice, to get the profit for doing nothing.

    Hello @sergiom87,

If the plugin remained the order status as recoverable even if the order is placed and completed then it will lead to the wrong report. i.e order is completed in woocommerce but showing abandoned in plugin which is a wrong stat.

Let us know your thoughts on it.

Well, to simplify, I believe it should only count as recovered the orders that actually were recovered after user click/open the email. That would give proper stats and I believe the results would be more real.

After 40h with the plugin I have a recovery rate of 27%, this would be awesome if the stats were true.

Im sorry but I don’t believe it, sive I saw two recovery without sending emails, I don’t know if users have opened email or not the stats are not trustable.

Will you be doing anything to fix this gap of counting recovered carts even if the plugin has done nothing?

This is a big concern for me. I had the plugin installed for several months and it reported thousands in recovered orders without sending a single email.

Perhaps the plugin could be modified to make a distinction:

    • Recovered – for orders that the customer completed on their own.
    • Converted – for orders converted after clicking a link in the email sent by this plugin

Otherwise I’ll need to use Google Analytics to track the actual conversions from this plugin by reporting on visitors who enter the site through the special link provided in the email and then go on to complete a purchase.

I’d also like the ability to specify how long to wait before marking an order as Lost. In this case, I’d also make a distinction:

    • Lost – timed out – for orders that exceed the wait time.
    • Lost – opted out – for orders where the customer unsubscribed. This is an important metric in tracking the effectiveness of my emails.

Like they say, they offer this one in order to people get impressed and buy their premium plugins.

To me it gives the exact opposite feeling, I don’t know if this is the intention but it makes me feel they’re not being honest at all.

I have a cart recovery of almost 30%, that’s incredible.. The best part is that I’ve tested it with several emails and my mail always ends up on the spam folder (I’m not using my own domain but a similar one I have for newsletters).

So, I seriously doubt anyone has seen the cart recovery email, hence, I have over 1500€ “recovered”.

Im dropping this plugin now, but I’ll make sure I’ll mention this on a review.

    Hello @sergiom87 & @millionleaves,

It seems like there is some misunderstanding.

We are just trying to maintain the order status with the Woocommerce.

Again if the user abandoned the order and completed the order before sending the email, then order status will be completed in woocommerce. If it has remained it as abandoned in the plugin so it will create the confusion that order is completed in woocommerce, but still, it is showing abandoned in the plugin.

Also, emails will be sent to customers, and customers will get confused that they had already placed the order.

Still, we will discuss this point with our team members.

    Thank You!

    Hi,

    Tahnks for the reply.

I think you’re mixing two different things and the plug-in name says it all.

If it’s cart abandonment recovery then it should only count the carts that have effectively been recovered by the plugin.

If the user recovers a cart without any interaction of the plugin so the plugin shouldn’t count it because it actually did nothing and it will only show wrong stats of how many carts have actually been recovered by the plugin.

In a perfect scenario, it should only count if the user has only opened the email, that way we could understand perfectly the plugin efficacy.

Still, it’s a free plugin so I’m not demanding anything, don’t get me wrong.

    Hello @sergiom87,

Thank you for your feedback. We are always welcome to feedback and suggestions.

We will definitely look into this point.

    Thank You!

Thank you @sergiom87 , this is exactly what I also wanted to create a topic for, the plugin is marking orders as “recovered” even without sending the emails, so the reporting is completely wrong, it just makes me check everything manually and delete orders that the plugin marked as recovered falsly.

+1 to this, the reports completely unrealistic. I am using a manual payment method where in orders are put on hold and the customer makes a payment using a payment app and we push these orders as processing and all these order are getting marked as recovered.
