Recover Deleted Footer

Hello, I believe I deleted both footer areas using Elementor and I cannot figure out how to get them back. I have enabled footer widgets, I created a custom footer that appears in my theme panel library, I have tried adding items to the appearance > widgets section, but none of these have resulted in a footer appearing. The main index.php page still shows <?php get_footer(); ?> at the bottom. I would greatly appreciate any assistance anyone can give me to get the footer back. Thank you.
