• Tangentially related to this post I would like to know if www.remarpro.com has a policy of relinquishing / resetting abandoned user names? My preferred username appears to have been registered** but has absolutely no activity.

I know other services such as Twitter will salvage abandoned usernames if you have a trademark / identity claim to that name… Can www.remarpro.com help with the same?

**Heck, it could have been me that registered it during some former online identity crisis…

    Short answer? No.*

That’s probably the shortest answer I’d ever provided here! ??

That would not be fair to users who registered the account you want. And the accounts here tie into other things as well which is part of the reason why accounts can’t be deleted. If it was your email then you can get it back.

*I’m not aware of any policy regarding this but I personally think the idea is Just Plain Bad?. Also I’ve replied to your other topic.

Well that answers /that/ question. ?? I would argue that the idea has its merits, especially as online identity becomes more nuanced. If it could be determined that person A has never once used the account for anything (except to register) it seems it could be safely scrubbed… Thanks anyway.

In what scenario would you need a username that’s already taken?
