Records with no changes whatsoever get updated, not skipped

    The title sums it up. I am running 2 imports, one with always up-to-date XML file, one with always up-to-date CSV file (generated automatically from Google Sheets).

    In both cases, all of the records are being updated with each run, even though no settings and no fields/data were changed.

    The results is for example:
    0 created, 768 updated, 0 skipped, 0 deleted

    Is there any setting for this? Is this the correct behavior?

    Is there any setting for this? Is this the correct behavior?

    You need to enable the “Skip posts if their data in your file has not changed” option in the Import Settings to skip unchanged posts.

    Just keep in mind that if you disable the “Keep image currently in Media Library” option in the “Images” section of the import template (see https://d.pr/i/Xbcgnm), every record will always be considered changed (i.e. they won’t be skipped).

    Hello, I am importing images that already exist in Media library, so the “Keep images currently in Media Library” option is not even active – so that shouldn’t be any problem for me.

    However, I don’t see any “Skip posts if their data in your file has not changed” option in Import Settings.

    I have “Update existing produkty with changed data in your file” with “Choose which data to update” option selected, but nothing about skipping.

    However, I don’t see any “Skip posts if their data in your file has not changed” option in Import Settings.

    Are you using the free version of WP All Import? If so, it wouldn’t be possible to skip unchanged records, unfortunately.
