    Hi, I read a previous thread on this but cannot get it to work. I have 2 Lead record types – I’ve done the create web-to-lead in SF and have the ID of the record type I want the form to send, but I can’t seem to get it to recognise it.

    I have tried using the ID in the Field, the Value and the Options, but nothing works. I’ve also tried using ‘recordType’ in the Field with the ID in the Value, but that also doesn’t work. The fields are ‘hidden’ and ‘enabled/required’. Below is the SF generated web-to-lead for the record type.

    <label for=”recordType”>Lead Record Type</label><select id=”recordType” name=”recordType”><option value=””>–None–</option><option value=”012300000000hyl”>Online Donation</option>
    <option value=”012a0000001ZROo”>Salesforce Enquiry</option>
    </select>

    Update – have discovered that it defaults to the user profile settings record type, so does it matter whether a record type is given or not? I’ve now changed that so it does go to the correct user type, but am still not sure whether the form needs it or where the ID would go…

    I’d need to see your form settings screen (screenshot?)
