    Hi @alohapirates,

Thanks for reaching out about Facebook for WooCommerce! I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue reconnecting, but I’ll be happy to help.

As a starting point, could you please confirm which version of the plugin you’re running? If you have not yet updating to the current version – 2.1.4 – could you please go ahead and run the update and let us know if you’re still seeing the same issue there?

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

the FB to WC plugin runs with the Version 2.1.4

    Wordpress Version 5.5.3

    Hey @alohapirates,

Thanks so much for confirming that. A -1 error typically indicates an issue with how WordPress or WooCommerce has understood the URL request. We’ve seen a few issues recently where a merchant’s host settings were causing an error due to the long URL being used. It doesn’t look precisely the same as what you’re seeing here, though I wonder if it is related.

Do you, or your host, see any errors logged in the PHP logging or the fatal_error logs for WooCommerce after trying the connection?

    Cheers!

    Simon.

    Hi Simon,

here is the answer from our host.

    ——–
ich habe mir die Logdateien angeschaut. Auf dem Server selbst wird kein Error erzeugt, sondern nur der Zugriff:

    2020-11-13 12:42:05
    Access
    37.218.0.0
    200
    GET /?wc-api=wc_facebook_connect&external_business_id=alohapirates-com-5f3ba3eed617d&nonce=d8dc868a04&system_user_id=104439458047575&system_user_access_token=EAAGvQJc4NAQBAGkbajhKuTBhEcHufCbOyT1bx8RvFMWzf8Nsp69s0qPMddzfxhnnv9VqQgyIVrdN1BAl5jGK1ZAI4bUW5ZAZBwejzxY7IjREksaS3GjTyWNkREc25F7ntpwLubmiPkmwEm9RYSZBvZCya58sZAETdO92EIZC2xyp1zuaSZCiKlYNZAZAcl0oVUT53xfcg9cYufvAZDZD&merchant_access_token=EAAGvQJc4NAQBABIea6ZCD2s3XQMrZA7eQAmpi8N42UUhTMU9EWeBxmPsjD0o0DKGdFTJ81c6pBK8jAWkuhMifRXRm3RkLhjfkImKvjG9OzmsWcnOQxTmGZAWBaPZCN0R8f8StBxolABOJ9PY83RnVZAvIur06FBoPJD0ZBbkhIgQZDZD HTTP/1.1

D.h. das der Fehler im WordPress oder Woocommerce erzeugt wird. Hier bitte ich Sie sich an den Entwickler des Plugins zu wenden.

    ——-
The Host/Provider says there is no Error on the Server. He means the issue is generated from WordPress or Woocommerce and i should contact the developer.

    Best regards
    Alex

    Hi @alohapirates,

Thanks for checking on that for us. Could you please send me a screenshot of exactly what you are seeing after clicking the “Thats My Site – Redirect Me” button? I would recommend using a free content sharing source like Cloudup.

We also have a snippet that can help give us a better indication as to what might be happening here. Can you please add the following snippet to your site before you attempt to connect to Facebook again? If you aren’t familiar with adding custom code to your site, here is some information as to how to do it. Personally, I like the free Code Snippets plugin method.

You can view the snippet here:

    add_filter( ‘wc_facebook_connection_proxy_url’, function() { return ‘https://wc-connect-test.skyverge.com/auth/facebook/’;} );

Once the snippet is in place and you have had a chance to try to connect to Facebook again, would you please send a screenshot or text of any additional error messages that show?

    Thanks,

    Jennifer
