I’ve setup fluent forms to output to GMail – setup the API had it all working fine and then randomly every so often (a day or a few days later) it throws an error and says

FluentSMTP Plugin may not work properly. Looks like your Authentication unique keys and salts are changed

Why is this happening – I have to reconfigure it and redo it all and then its fine again for a few more days and then happens again ?

Can I get some insight into why this is happening ?

    Hello @premiershipman,

It appears that your WordPress keys and salts are being modified frequently, which is causing the error message you’re seeing. This is likely due to a security plugin that automatically updates these credentials for security purposes.

To resolve this problem, please review the settings of your security plugin and identify any options that may automatically update your WordPress keys and salts. Once you have identified the responsible plugin, you can either disable it temporarily or configure it to exclude the wp-config.php file from its updates.

Here are some additional tips that may be helpful:

    • Check if you have any plugins that are known to modify the wp-config.php file, such as security plugins or backup plugins.
    • If you have recently updated any plugins or themes, try deactivating them one by one to see if the issue resolves.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions or if the issue persists.
