Recommend a web host?

I’m currently with Godaddy, and I find the shared plan I’m on is slow. I’m sure if you got one of their more expensive plans it would be faster (I have the cheapest plan).

I’ve heard lots of good stuff about Media Temple… Can’t say anything about them myself, though.

Bluehost.com is the one I’ve used for 3 years now.
Excellent support when needed.

The hosting company I’d recommend is Blazenhost. This hosting company has both free and paid hosting. They have better tech support than most “paid” hosting companies. No I don’t work for them I’m just happy with their hosting!
