    Hi,
Thank you for the wonderful plugin.
Is it possible to use its functionality somehow to add a reciprocal relationship between posts of the same type?
    Such as, ‘parent-child’, ‘boss-employee-, ‘sequel-prequel’?

Since the plugin requires the field name to be the same on both sides I would assume that it isn’t possible, but if theres’s a way to achieve this I’d really appreciate your help.

    Thanks and regards
    Amos

A single field on one post type is automatically bidirectional when this plugin is active because the field exists for all posts on the post type.

Thank you for the super prompt response!
What I meant was having the label for the field different between posts, since ‘Boss’ isn’t a bidirectional relationship, it should be reciprocal with ‘Employee’, but both of them are ‘People’ CPT so the ACF field name would be the same.
Does this make my question more clear?

This is correct and I do not know if what you want to do is possible. You might be able to use an acf/prepare_field filter to alter the label of the field if you can detect a difference in the post.

This plugin has a very simple use case. For your case I would likely use to fields and custom code the bidirectionality
