    Hi there,

some days ago a customer managed to order (and pay) a gift card without specifying the recipients emmail address.

I thought this must be some sort of configuration error, but I cannot find any option to make the recipient email address mandatory.
I can leave it empty and still add the gift card to the cart.

    Is that intentional?
Can I make at least recipient name and email address mandatory?

    Thanks,
    Christian Toller

    Hello,

    Thanks for using our plugin,

Make sure that you haven’t removed the validation of these two fields.
Please go to the plugin settings>> Other settings>> Untick Making Optional “To Name” Field and Making Optional “To Email” Field.

    Hi there,

sorry, but I don’t have those options.
And I just updated the plugin to the latest version, but the option is still missing.
But I’m working with WP in German language, so maybe I miss somehting.

Just to be sure: we are talking about the URL https://skinbeauty.at/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=giftcard&page=wps-wgc-setting-lite&tab=other_setting

That’s the URL I get when selecting Geschenkkarten / Einstellungen / Andere Einstellungen
Well, German. Would translate to Gift cards / Settings / other settings

There I got only two settings:

Gutscheinfelder deaktivieren: Deaktiviere die Felder zum Anwenden von Gutscheinen auf der Warenkorb-/Checkout-Seite
Vorschau-Button deaktivieren: Vorschau-Button im Frontend deaktivieren

(translates to “disable coupon field” and “disable preview button”, nothing about making something optional.

    Any ideas?
Is this maybe a pro feature?

    Thanks,

    Christian

    Hello,

Yes, we have these features in our pro plugin.

In the org plugin by default, message and To mail fields are mandatory but if your customer is able to place an order without the recipient mail then it seems some third-party plugin or theme issue.
