Recipe Index List Appearing Twice

I started my website a few weeks back (transferred to .org from .com) and have gone through all the set up after purchasing the Foodica theme. I watched a few different YouTube videos on how to create indexes and did this for my recipe page so a dropdown would display at the top of the home page….. except now it’s displaying twice in that drop down. So it starts with Breakfast and finishes with Spreads, then the list starts again with Breakfast.

I have zero doubts this is a user error but I have looked over every inch of my site and I can’t find the answer. I created a recipe index then made all my meal categories sub categories underneath it….. hoping that was the right thing to do but obviously something didn’t work there.

Any tips on how to fix it would be much appreciated…. although I would like to avoid writing code if that’s possible. I didn’t do it to create the error if that helps ??
