    Hi everybody,

I failed in updating my plugin on time (my fault) and now I got some Stripe (debit) payments that didn′t went through. I did all updates now, but how to deal with the past subscriptions?

It seems like the new recurring invoices are set to “manual payment” in the backend of WooCommerce. Can I fix this manually somehow? And will the future recurring invoices be set to “stripe debit” again?

    All the best, Julian!

    Hi Julian,

I understand you’re facing challenges with past subscription payments due to delayed plugin updates. Let’s work through this together to get your subscriptions back on track.

When a payment gateway like Stripe is deactivated or encounters issues, WooCommerce Subscriptions may switch renewal orders to manual payments. To revert these subscriptions to automatic payments, please follow the instructions in this article: Set Up Automatic Payments.

With your plugins now updated and Stripe reactivated, new subscriptions should default to automatic payments via Stripe. To confirm, you can create a test subscription to ensure it’s set to automatic payments with Stripe. Additionally, keep an eye on upcoming renewals to verify they’re processed automatically.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
