Have received an alert about 27 changes on a plugin that was updated just 17 hours ago.
the free version I guess would not know about this update???

Or does “free” Wordfence” still check repository on WordPress before a scan ?

So why the 27 alerts – which I must assume are to do with the plugins update…

Plugin on this occasion is “Team Showcase Supreme”

Hope the Wordfence Squad and Defiant Team are all ok.

  • Hey @pg-fun,

We’re all doing just fine, thanks for the kind thoughts :). And, we hope you’re doing well too.

The free version does check for file changes. If the plugin was updated, it will report it. the FIle Change feature doesn’t have a way to determine if the changes are malicious or not, only that they’ve changed.

Please let me know if this helps, or if I’ve misunderstood the question.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

    Hey @pg-fun,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’ve gone ahead and marked this thread as resolved.

Please feel free to open another thread if you’re still having issues with Wordfence.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
