    HI

I have just updated few plugins (I update them manually) including your plugin.

as a result – one page of my website with the podcast stopped loading – showing just blank page, nothing on it.

When I looked on the list of the plugins I have updated – I immediately knew that it was W3 Total Cache plugin that has caused it.

I deactivated the plugin – and my podcast page came back.

This is a serious issue – could you please advise ASAP what is in this recent update that has completely crashed / blocked my podcast page from loading, and how to fix it so that I can reactivate the plugin. I don’t have any other caching plugins.

I have checked with my website host – there are no issues on the server.

    thanks

    Hello @magicpowers

I am sorry about the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to assist you with this.
The recent update is a minor release with a couple of fixes that should not cause this.
Try purging the cache, and deleting the /cache/ folder in wp-content.
If this doesn’t work, there is a possibility that during the update there was a temp network issue and some file got broken possibly (w3 total cache is a complex plugin with a lot of files).
In this case, you should remove and re-install the plugin.
    I hope this helps.

    Hi @vmarko

I can only purge the browser cache not the website as I don’t have any other caching plugin.

I will test this update on my staging site (and from now on I wil be testing all the plugin updates on my staging site first…)

I would prefer not to re-install the plugin from scratch as it took me a lot of time to configure it…

    I will let you know.

    thanks

    Hello,

Make sure to delete the cache folder and re-enable the W3 Total cache and see if the issue persists.
You can export the current settings in Performance>General settings>Import/Export settings and import it back when you re-install the W3 Total Cache.
    Thanks!

    Hello @magicpowers

Any update on this? Try disabling HTML minify if enabled and see if the issue persists.
    Thank you!

    hi @vmarko

    now, that’s really interesting.

When I updated your plugin on my staging site – no problem!

What’s the difference? These two sites are identical except that on the Staging site I had deactivated few plugins as I don’t need them there.

So – I activated each of those plugins one at a time – and I found the culprit!

Your current plugin version has a conflict with the Ultimate Social Media PLUS plugin..

Prior to this recent update both plugins worked fine together. There is something in this update that is blocking selected pages from loading.

Since I would like to have BOTH plugins on my website – and the conflict arose in your plugin’s recent update – would you be able to advise how to fix this?….

    thanks!

    UPDATE

please don’t worry about the testing with the Ultimate Social Media PLUS plugin.

I wasn’t actually happy with it anyway, so I have deleted it and will find another social plugin.

Worth noting though for your own knowledgebase.

    thanks!
