Recent problem inserting featured or post images

  • Hi all,

    I have a recent problem where I see mto be unable to isnert featured or post images onto any post.

    If I try and set a feature image, I click it from the post, select (or upload) an image and click ‘set featured image’ but it doesn;t appear in the featured image box, nor does it post.

    If I try and use the ‘Add Media’ link, a similar thing happens.

    I have tried disabling all plugins, but this hasn’t fixed the issue either.

    Quite possibly related, I have the ‘All in One SEO’ plugin, and if I enter anythign into the fields and clcik ‘update’ none of it seems to save/store what I have entered…

    Very strange behaviour!

    Any suggestions on where I should start looking?

    Hi, thanks for the reply. I have tried he twenty twelve theme and it behaves the same…

    I enabled debug and noticed this and wondered if it could be related?

    WordPress database error: [Duplicate entry ‘132090’ for key 1]
    INSERT INTO wp_postmeta (post_id,meta_key,meta_value) VALUES (4129,’_edit_lock’,’1394393802:1′)

    So right now, you are using a premium theme that is not supported and you have some plugins that are active. You mentioned that you have tried using the default theme with all plugins turned off? Also, did anything lead up to this? Any updates or code changes? Any changes to the server?

    I wasn’t aware that it wasn’t supported, yes, the plugins are active.

    i have tried with the default theme and no plugins activated and the problem was still there.

    Nothing changed that I am aware of, and no changes to the server that I was made aware of, though it is a shared server.

    I’m a bit baffled as to what may be causing it. I appreciate that ‘things don’t break on their own’ but I’m not sure where to start looking really.

    I’m still struggling with this one, are there any more suggestions?

    I have tried:

    – Disabling all plugins
    – Reverting to default theme
    – Backing up to known good files

    This suggests to me that the problem lies with the database.

    I’m not great with databases so am wondering where I can look to try and fix this problem?
