Recent Posts on a static webpage

We have a static website and part of that website is a wordpress blog

i.e https://www.bbc.co.uk and the blog is https://www.bbc.co.uk\blog

on the https://www.bbc.co.uk\index.htm i want to have a section on this page where we can show the recent posts from the blog similar to the recent posts widget

is there anyway i can do this? even if i could create new page within the blog that just displays the recent post headlines that i can show in an iframe on the main webpage
