Recent posts in sidebar: best plugin?

Hi, I have been looking for a simple but working plugin to display my last X posts on the sidebar for months now, but there is nothing to do: all i got are error messages or, in best case, it just did not work, like i.e. Fuzzy Posts. Which Plugin have you made the best experiences with? I am using Kubrick theme on WP 2.0.4. Thanx a loooot!
