Recent posts grouped by category

  • I’m new to using WP, so this question might seem simple. I’m trying to set up a sidebar navigation, that groups and shows recent posts by category.

    For example.

    • Category 1
    • Recent post in category 1
    • Another recent post in category 1
    • Category 2
    • Recent post in category 2
    • Another recent post in category 2
    • Another recent post in category 2
