    Hello,
I have an issue with the recent posts block working just fine on the back-end but displaying nothing on the front end (no HTML, not just hidden).

I am currently working locally so I don’t have a link to the problem, I was hoping someone might have an idea what might be going on here but if needed I will put up a staging site.

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi,

Thanks for contacting us about advanced Gutenberg.
You have absolutely no HTML generated? Do you have any JS error in the browser console?

    Thanks.

Hi there, thanks for your response!
So for starters, yes there was no HTML generated and there were no JS errors, just a few warnings.

I uncovered that this happens with the default latest post block as well, so it’s probably not your issue.

Also found out it only happens on pages with a more or page break block existing on the page.

OK thanks for reporting, in this case you may try to take a look at the Gutenberg github repository, maybe the issue was reported already.

    Cheers,

It actually seems to be something I did in my theme. Very odd, especially given that it only happens when those particular blocks are present…

Anyway, sorry to bug you here about what turns out to be a theme issue.

Edit: It had to do with using the “true” argument for strip_teaser in the_content (the_content(null, true)).
