Recent Post Content not showing

    1. Permlink settings- Custom structure: /%category%/%postname%/
    2. I use a static frontpage
    3. Polylang Settings (below are the ones that are activated):
    – Default language: Dutch
    – URL modifications: * The language is set from content
    * Remove /language/ in pretty permalinks
    – Media: Activate languages and translations for media

    Website: kendo kai den haag
    The sidebar on the right side has a recent post widget renamed to Nieuws / News. That is showing perfectly the content of my post. When i switch to the english version and i add a new widget for recent post or the same recent post widget on the dutch page the content is not showing.

    Hi!

    It seems that you are using the Recent posts widget bundled with WordPress on the Dutch page and a different one on the English page. Maybe the second one is not compatible with Polylang.

    Hi chouby,

    I tried The original wordpress recent post. When I do that, nothing shows up. I just add the original on the English page. Before it was the better recent post widget , this one only shows the title. Is bbpress compatible with polylang or maybe an other plugin interferes with polylang.

    What now? Maybe turn off plugins one by one

    Yes, de-activating all your other plugins (and also switching to a default theme) and then re-activating them one by one should help you find out if there is conflict.

    I just deactivate the plug-ins one by one to see which of the plug-in might cause this trouble. Finally i have polylang left and after i deactivate it i see the recent post on the english page. So what now?

    By the way i use my a different web address location to test this out.
    webadress is now:
    – for english: https://www.binhtran.nl/welcome-at-kendo-kai-den-haag/ (this stage all plug-in are deactivated.
    – for dutch: https://www.binhtran.nl/

    Dear Chouby,

    I found out whats the problem with my issue. Sorry that i waste your time. I should have made an english page from within the dutch news page. After that when i post a dutch POST page i have to also click on the create english page within that post. After the post will be showing on the english version of that webpage in the recent post.

    My apologies,

    Is there in the future also possible to have a custom field where you can add your own word/sentence so you can add your own translation?
    Because now chimpmail plugin only has 1 contact form where you cant click on to make an english version. So now what i did is just put dutch and english sentence in 1 contact form.

    There are 223 plugins related to mailchimp. I can’t know which one you are using. Please open a new topic for your other issue.
