Recent MultiSite Installation – Can’t create menu?

  • I recently installed Multisite – (first time using multisite).
    https://portal.mynpp.com/
    When I try and create a menu for the site, I type the name and click save, then nothing happens.
    I was able to create a menu in ‘customize’ and even added a page. But then the menu still isn’t listed in the menu tab of the main sidepanel on the dashboard. Also in ‘customize’ the menu name is showing just a blank line in the dropdown menu in the locations area. I think this is a WordPress issue, and not a theme issue. But please advise.

    I’m not having such trouble on my multisite and this has not been a problem reported by others AFAIK, so it’s probably not a WP issue per se. You could have a theme or plugin conflict. Try deactivating all plugins and switching to the twentynineteen theme. I expect that adding menus would then be possible. Switch back to your normal theme and test again. Repeat for each plugin. When you again experience trouble, the last activated module is the cause.
