I have recently received this message from my host provider.
“We believe a hacker was able to deface your website using a vulnerability in WordPress. We detected that other hosting accounts on the same server were scanned (by an automated defacement bot) and a small number of them were also exploited/defaced by this defacement bot.
Security is our top priority and therefore we renamed your public_html directory to prevent the “hacked” message being visible on your website.”

The websites (3 WordPress sites) have now been restored but all menu links throughout all 3 no longer work. When selected all links give this error “The requested URL /ladies was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

I’ve made no changes to the sites apart from resetting passwords for cpanel, dbase and wp-admin and all the links look ok within the respective dashboards.

Does anyone know what I can do to restore the links??
