Receiving spam despite using your plugin

There has been a time when everything was tip top and no spam email was ever getting through. Now though, for the past few months we have been getting occasional spam email via a contact form on our website.
The spam seems to come from his browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/67.0.3396.87 Safari/537.36 OPR/54.0.2952.51
The contents of the message usually contain russian text with a text based link.
My suspicion is that under certain circumstances, your plugin doesn’t prompt the user with the captcha code.
Has anyone experienced the same lately?
