    Hi,

I am utilizing an order form with PayPal integration. I’m receiving emails from PayPal stating that I am receiving payments, but the Forminator plugin does not indicate any submissions have been made on that form. My form is paginated with only html text and PayPal buttons on the final page, so unlike the problem another user posted about in this submission, I doubt that customer error in filling the form is the problem, and I can only assume the PayPal buttons are displaying fine for customers since payments are coming in. This is the form: https://pioneervalleyapiaries.com/2020-nucleus-colonies/nuc-order-with-online-payment/.

I have used the form several times in sandbox mode and everything worked perfectly before I switched to live payments. I’m concerned that my customers are not receiving the automated email notifications that they should be.

    Thanks

Another update regarding the issue of PayPal buttons not displaying. I had a datepicker field in the form with default to ‘today’s’ date and visibility rules that always kept the field hidden. My form is integrated with Google Sheets and I wanted the submission date to export to Sheets along with all the other form information. I didn’t realize I could use a ‘hidden’ field instead of a datepicker field to do this.

I replaced the datepicker with a hidden field and deleted visibility rules for PayPal. The PayPal buttons now display just fine without needing visibility rules to force them to display.

However, this did not seem to resolve the submission issue. I put the form into sandbox mode afterwards and the form once again froze at submission loader/indicator and did not submit.

I’ve since disabled honeypot protection. The form did successfully submit in sandbox mode afterwards, but again, we’ll have to wait for an actual customer purchase in live mode to see if it actually resolved the problem.

    Hi @zigzywno

Thank you for all the updates and information!

There’s one more thing that bothers me a bit there so if it still doesn’t work fine with “live” submissions, could you try

    – disabling submission indicator entirely (set it to none)
    – and try using server side validation?
    – there’s also some sort of minification for JS enabled on site – could you/did you try to disable it?

    Kind regards,
    Adam

    Adam,

None of the recommendations you gave are working. I read something in another thread about a mu-plugin that forces submission before payment is made. Would this help?

    Hello @zigzywno

I hope you are doing well!

We haven’t heard back from you for a while now so we’ve marked this ticket as resolved. If you do have any followup questions or require further assistance feel free to reopen it and let us know here.

I am having the exact same issue. The customer filled out the entire form and the payment went through to stripe but there is no form submission on the backend and no email notifications. It worked fine in test mode but not in the live mode which really sucks because the form is really long, so all the info the client took the time to type out and submit is nowhere to be found. This is a MAJOR MAJOR glitch. My Client is extremely upset.

I use the form on a seasonal basis, so the issues I had eventually became moot. I will need a working payment form again this winter, though, and it’s helpful to hear the issue isn’t limited to just PayPal integration. I’ll likely go with another form plug-in, unfortunately.

    Ya ??
It’s unfortunate because I took sooo much time to create all my clients forms only to have to switch to something else. Very frustrating…I will be using Piotnet (https://pafe.piotnet.com/?wpam_id=599) since I use elementor to create sites.

    Hello @diyboss ,

I’m sorry about this issue you are having with our plugin. But since it is about the Stripe, please open a separate thread on the forum as per forum regulations.
I understand this is frustrating, but we would need to investigate that issue separately in order to solve the problem.

    kind regards,

I am having the same problem with people filling out the form and paying via PayPal, and not form data is retained. I want to know how to implement the “forminator-submit-before-paypal.php” code. Can someone tell me where I need to add this code to get the form to work correctly?

    Hello @rguyden,

About the data not being retained, I would need to deeply check that. Could you please export the form by navigating to your site wp-admin Dashboard-> Forms-> Click the Gear icon beside the form name-> and hit the export button.

Send us the export by using the code block or google drive or dropbox or paste bin.

Now about using the mu-plugin for submission before Paypal payment, you would need to install the following mu-plugin:
    https://gist.github.com/wpmudev-sls/0ff0dd003ed3f3e9b4ff0416da8ee25a

To understand what a mu-plugin is and for the complete set of installation steps, kindly refer the following doc:
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/docs/getting-started/download-wpmu-dev-plugins-themes/#installing-mu-plugins

Also, for any further queries, kindly consider opening a fresh thread as this thread belongs to someone else. Replying here may cause unwanted disturbance to them as the notifications for the following communications would hit their emails too. Do mention your Forminator plugin version, WP & PHP version and the link to this thread for reference too as it makes it easier for us to test and replicate things and minimise the time taken to reply back and resolve issues.

    Thank you,
    Prathamesh Palve
