Receiving lots of e-mails everyday

  • Hi team,

    We’re receiving lots of e-mails every 2 days, around 40-80 emails, all at once, with the subject ”mail didn’t detect as bounced”.

    I don’t really know whether this is a default setting, or there is something wrong with it.

    Can you let us know why we receive these e-mails and hot to stop this?

    If any of your mail from your inbox is not detected as bounced, then it will be marked as “mail didn’t detect as bounced”. This is the default behavior and you can ignore those emails

    Hello, currently there is no option to stop these emails. However, you can change the weird forward email (from “actions & notifications” tab, option 5) address to something else in order to avoid ”mail didn’t detect as bounced” emails.

    Hi,

    We’re still a bit confused by these e-mails. When it says the ‘’email didn’t detect as bounced’’ is supposed to be a good sign right? I mean, it is the normal thing to happen, right?

    Then, I am not sure why the previous explanation is related to Option #5: When the bounce is weird and we’re not sure what to do –

    This #5 option seems like a negative thing.

    Can you please explain a bit further how this works?

    Hello,

    Yes it is normal. You are getting those emails because of the email address you provided in option #5. Those emails are not bounced but ‘weird’, means bounce handler is unable to categorize those emails as bounced or other predefined bounced rules. Since it is unable to detect the exact cause, the last rule ‘weird’ is executed and those emails are forwarded to the given email address in option #5 for further investigation.
