  • If you cannot login to your site, you can access your site files using FTP or Cpanel and deactivate or delete the plugin – find it here:

    wp-content
        plugins
autochimp - RENAME OR DELETE THIS FOLDER

I can log in. Am I getting this fatal error because I cannot use the app or should I uninstall and try again?

    Hi sdbrougher,
I am getting the same exact error with Autochimp too. By any chance have you found a fix, and if so would you be willing to share?
    Thanks so much!

    Hi,

Yes. I deleted it from my site and then went into my web host (godaddy) and uprgraded my PHP to 5.3.

I then went back into WP and downloaded the plug in again and activated it.

It worked. So far…. fingers crossed.

Thank you so much for your help! Updating the PHP to 5.3 definitely worked. I had to deactivate my other Mail Chimp plugin (Mailchimp for WordPress) in order to activate, but once activated, but plugins seem to be running correctly.
    Thanks again!

    On Host Gator,

Make sure your php config is using system default, which should be 5.3.10 I believe at the time of this post.

In your wordpress install, put this at the top of your .htaccess file:

    # Use PHP 5.4
    AddType application/x-httpd-php54 .php

This fixed the issue for me.

Thanks Zmarsh! I was getting the same error despite my control panel saying I was running PHP version 5.4.24, but my .htaccess file has this in it:
    AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5s .php

So changing it to php54 allowed the AutoChimp 2.15 plugin to activate. Thanks!

I got the plugin upgrade to activate, but unfortunately, my post is not getting sent as a campaign email now, though. Any ideas where I can look to figure out why? All the AutoChimp settings seem to be correct, and I’ve created a new post and tried to get it to send, and it did nothing, and I can find no errors in my PHP logs.
