    Hi guys, one of our client’s sites is now suddenly issuing countless repeated & excessive daily notifications of “Your Weekly WP Mail SMTP Summary” report and there’s no clear reason why.

    There doesn’t appear to be any setting to just turn it off. Can you please help? Checking other queries like this in the past hasn’t provided any answers that help. Is there something up with the latest version?

    Many Thanks

    D

    Hi, @dan1980!

    Thanks for getting in touch, and we’re sorry for the trouble.

    Potentially, it could be a conflict with an old Action Scheduler library. Action Scheduler it’s a vendor library that we use for background task processing. For example, conflict could occur if the Action Scheduler is initialized incorrectly in some other plugin.

    To troubleshoot the issue, please:

    1) disable the Email Summaries in the WP Mail SMTP plugin (here is a guide);

    2) go to the WP Mail SMTP -> Tools -> Scheduled Actions tab;

    3) search for all pending wp_mail_smtp_summary_report_email actions and remove all of them;

    4) install the Action Scheduler plugin;

    5) enable the Email Summaries in the WP Mail SMTP plugin;

    6) observe if the issue persists.

    Also, you can just leave the Email Summaries disabled.

    Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Kind regards.

    Hi @sakalvictoria thank you for this info

    There wasn’t anything in the Pending tab like “wp_mail_smtp_summary_report_email”

    Only thing in there is “rocket_preload_job_preload_url”

    Hi, @dan1980!

    Thanks for following up.

    Can you confirm, please: have you performed all the above steps? Was it helpful? Or have you just disabled the Email Summaries?

    Thank you.

    We’ve disabled the Email Summaries because it was becoming a problem. Have been quickly looking for an alternative plugin altogether and running some tests.

    I will try to make some time to install the Action Scheduler and see.

    I want the Email Summaries, I just don’t want them to come through dozens at a time every single day.
