    Hello,

I have installed plug-in on website everything works great except when comment is sent i receive it in my gmail account like regular mail but comment is not showing up in my posts where it should be and i don’t get any notification in wordpress dashboard that comment is recived to approve it or otherwise – it seams that wordpress dasn’t register that comment is sent at all.

I have created site from scratch i did not use any theme so i wonder do i have to register this plug-in somehow in my functions.php file – did i miss something ?

I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you

If you are talking about WordPress built-in comment feature, the Contact Form 7 plugin has nothing at all to do with it. Probably it’s a theme issue so try switching to the default theme.

Thank you for answering. I am not talking about WordPress built-in feature. I don’t wont to try default theme because i don’t have use from it. I did copy comments.php file from default theme to theme i have created and when i tested it everything worked fine. With comments.php file from 2014 wordpress default theme i do receive notification in wordpress deshboard and i am able to approve it. I asked this question because comments are not showing inside the post- where they should be with contact form 7 plugin installed and setup, it seams that plug in just sends comments directly to my gmail account and that wordpress not register that any comment is sent at all.

You seem to have misunderstood how the Contact Form 7 plugin operates – which is by sending emails. If does not interact with the standard WordPress Comment mechanism as it is not intended for that purpose.
