I started receiving bogus comment emails using the Contact Me/Us option in WP Flybox yesterday afternoon. Instead of people using the form to contact me, they are using it to submit bogus comments, such as “Gee wilsikerl, that’s such a great post!”. Apparently, they think they are submitting comments that will get published on a blog post? Anyway, there doesn’t appear to be any malicious links or spam, just annoying comments. Do you think another Captcha option (like ReCaptcha) would help? Or do you have any other suggestions?

    Thanks!

Good idea! I have added reCaptcha to the contact us tab. Be sure to turn it on and set your keys in the WP-Flybox settings. Please let me know if you have any problems with it!

Side note: If you have old keys, you may need to delete and recreate them since I used Google’s newest API version 2 and version 2 does not accept global version 1 keys for recaptcha.

Great! I will check it out. I was not expecting such a quick reply from you, so I changed over to a custom tab that points to a Ninja Form. But that gets a little clumsy since the Ninja Form takes up a lot of space on a WP Flybox tab, so I will upgrade WP Flybox to latest version and switch back.

Just uninstalled old version and went to new version. Works great.
One suggestion; on uninstall can you have the option to save settings? The new version did not give me the option to upgrade so I had to remove the old version first.

It sometimes takes an hour or two right after the update is released to be updated by the internal WordPress updater. I may add that option in the future. Thanks!

    That makes sense. Thanks again.
