Receiving blank mails from deleted site

  • Hello all,

    I am using contact form 7 on my old test site, since then I deleted the site and made it live(have an actual .nl extension) however I sometimes still receive message from the old site containing nothing but blank shortcodes. I cant see a pattern in these mails and I receive them on random dates/time and also not everyday.

    So my question is how does this happen? is it the old contact form 7 plugin that was installed or is there still something left on the site? When viewing the old site it just says apache in functioning normally.

    Long story short, im receiving old mails from a site that was deleted wich used contact form 7 any fix?

    I host my site’s on my own server in wich there is nothing to be found. Well I had some old mail template’s wich I removed can I check an error log withing the plugin? Also thank you for the reply (:
