I received a cell phone sign in code but it wasn’t me and doesn’t appear to be any of my admin. I’ve looked at the attempted logins but no one at that time had tried using any of my admin logins (no, I do not use admin or any sort of easy to guess username.) Any idea how to track how this happened?

  • Hey @aptharsia,

If there aren’t any login attempts recorded it’s going to be difficult to say exactly what happened.

Are you using the Legacy Two-Factor in Wordfence? The current Two-Factor version in 7.4.0 uses the app-based TOTP method. Can you please update to this version? It’s more reliable and secure.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

I was hacked via database so I think they tried to login after seeing what my login username was. If not for Wordfence, would have been much worse!
