receive "This is embarrassing" message when trying to configure "publicize"

When trying to setup the “publicize” feature on one of my blogs, I receive the dreaded error message “This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?”

Setting up the “publicize” feature on my other sites that are similarly configured sites works fine, so it must be a problem with just this one installation.

Any ideas what to do to fix it?
