• Will an email be sent to the user if their event is published automatically?
I have set for the plugin to automatically publish anonymous events, and I’m receiving an email on the admin side, but when I’m testing with different emails for user-submitted events, I don’t see any email from the site.

Example, I see from my admin email:

A new event has been published by Test.

    Name : Another Test

    Date : 05/29/2020

    Time : 12:00 am

But no email is sent to the user saying their event was approved. I’m using a mail logging plugin, and I do not see an email is being sent to the user saying the event was published.

Is there a way to fix this? (If not, could you suggest a file to look at to code this; I know some PHP?)

  • Hello,

If a new Event is submitted on front-end you can configure an Email to be sent. You can configure it under Events > Settings > Emails > Event Submission Templates

Alternatively, You can use 3rd Party plugins that automatically send emails when a new custom post-type is created

Hi @timrv , I’ve already created email templates for this, and I had set that up when I wrote the message to you.

Apparently only the admin email is being sent when the event is submitted anonymously.

I’m afraid that this is not available out of the box except for event approval or re-approval.
