I installed WPForms 1.5.9.1 on WordPress 5.3.2 and created the simple form seen on the link.

I followed the instructions carefully and set up the Google reCAPTCHA for the corecalling.org site. Initially I set up v2Checkbox and loaded the keys onto the WPForms reCAPTCHA setup page. There are no other form or captcha plugins currently active.

When editing the form, I click on the G reCAPTCHA button and the pop-up says that it has been enabled for the form, but no badge appears on the form as per your instructions. I save it and then load the live page. The form works fine, but there is no captcha checkbox.

I then set up a v2invisible Google captcha, entered the two new keys and save everything. When I edit the form, it says the captcha is enabled, but again, no badge on the form page or the live page.

I tried turning on the No-Conflict option, but this changed nothing.

Any clue as to why the captcha is not loading?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Following up to my own message:

I have no explanation for what happened, but I was reloading my webpage and noticed that the form was all screwed up. There was text inside one of the name fields and the confirmation was permanently displayed as though it was regular text!

I decided to start over and cleared all fields from the form and rebuilt it from scratch. This time everything went smoothly and the captcha tag did get added to the form display.

Now the only problem was that invisible captcha verification failed every time I tried to sent the form contents. I reverted to the v2Checkbox mode and now this properly displayed and worked!

So everything now seems to be working. If you want to comment on why you think the original form got corrupted or why the v2invisible captcha fails, I’d be interested in hearing about that. In the meantime, I’ve got something that works.

    Hi @cjsmall,

It looks like there could be a conflict between the forms and the site theme or another plugin.

I could see some error messages when I used the browser tools on your site (screenshot).

Also, clicking on the submit button without filling in the required fields should not reload the page, but only trigger validation errors on the page. However for the form on your page, the page is reloaded when I tried to submit the form with empty fields.

To troubleshoot possible theme or plugin conflict, please try the steps described in our detailed guide on how to test for plugin/theme conflicts.

    Hope this helps!
