Will CF7 support recaptcha version 3? Will there be an option for each contact form which version will be used?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hiya, left a comment earlier that said this plugin is now “broken”. This is not true, and apologies to the plugin author.

The contact form 7 actually works correctly with Recaptcha vs 3. If you look at your recaptcha stats, you’ll see traffic hitting the script.

It’s just that Recpatcha vs3 is not catching half as much spam as vs 2.

I would suggest to the plugin author the ability to “toggle” between vs2 and vs3, maybe 2 tabs under Contact -> Integration, so you can preserve your keys for each API service without having to reset.

Thanks for the free plugin BTW.

I’ve been using CF7 and reCaptcha with v2 with great success but on using V3 yesterday with one client it doesn’t appear to be doing a good job on blocking the spam.

I agree with SDLS that it would be great to be able to revert to V2 in the meantime.

Thanks again, CF7 is a superb plugin and appreciate all the support!

It’s not a contact form problem, it’s recaptcha, a new version has been released and it does not work well
    All my websites with spam

I can also attest to this issue. Just upgraded yesterday and for a client that rarely ever got spam on v2, and got one today. Afraid this will continue. Hate to have to re-do all of the forms using another plugin because we’re being forced into v3. It also puts an annoying icon on every single page which is awful. Found a way around it, but still…

Recaptcha v3 is supposed to give you a score about the traffic visiting and allow you to make some kind of decision. Does CF7 give us access to this score and have some kind of determination about whether the form is allowed to be submitted?
Looks like it too automated that its not giving the user the control intended by recpatcha v3.

I also had this issue… Any one had a solution?

I think it’s working now. One client who had this added has given feedback that the flurry of spam emails he was receiving had stopped (assume after the recent plugin update).

I had several clients having the issue but it seems to have gone away
