reCAPTCHA verification failed

    Hello everyone.

    I’m using the free version of “Advanced Google reCAPTCHA” and so far I haven’t had any problems. Now a new user has written to me that reCAPTCHA does not allow registration. I installed CleanTalk and the new user was accepted, but it is not in the database, so it must be due to reCAPTCHA. If reCAPTCHA is deactivated, new users can register. Clearing browser data and cookies didn’t help.

    If it’s only a single user reporting this issue than it might mean their reCAPTCHA score is too low. They need at least 0.5 otherwise they will be marked as spam/bot. They could try using a different device or reset their IP address if their ISP allows that.

    … I also tried it with various other new users, but that didn’t work either, and the user in question seems to be reputable.

    ClantTalk also reports that the new user is not SPAM/Bot.

    So the issue is only on registration? Which reCAPTCHA are you using? v2 or v3? Normally if you validate reCAPTCHA v3 you should see your score but I don’t see that in your screenshot.

    Hello and thanks for the answer.

    I’m now using reCAPTCHA V3, and it’s happening now that another website is also affected.

    I don’t even see the CAPTCHA logo in the registration dialog.

    P.S. I’m sure it worked when I installed it a while ago and I think it’s only stopped working since the CMP Google update a few weeks ago. I had a lot of other problems.

    N.b. If I deactivate all plugins, it still doesn’t work!

    I do not see the reCAPTCHA badge on the registration page either, I assumed you have disabled it. If Adcanced Google reCAPCHA is still enabled for the registration page and it’s not showing then it’s most likely a compatibility issue with another plugin ??

    You can disable it in the “Where to Show” tab of AGR settings, sure.

    Thanks, but I’m not happy with that.

    • I’m already clear about the enable/disable.
    • CAPTCHA characters are displayed at the bottom right of the website even though the plugin has been deactivated.

    Well, if the plugin is disabled then it’s definitely not from Advanced Google reCAPTCHA. Maybe you have another plugin that is printing the captcha.

    It was an entry in the reCAPTCHA header that caused the icon in the footer.

    I’m now on v3 and there are no errors verifying the CAPTCHA.

    Unfortunately reCAPTCHA still doesn’t work.

    Do you have another idea?

    Hi,

    I don’t see any trace of reCAPTCHA on the website now. Is AGR still active?

    If it’s active and not getting printed on the front-end, I don’t know what could cause it ?? It has to be a conflict with another plugin somehow.
