• For reasons I’m trying to resolve, it seems like reCAPTCHA v3 on my form just periodically stops working. It presents with the spinning ‘wait’ circle on form submission – and it just sits there forever – no error messages or anything. In these instances Flamingo doesn’t even register a form submission. If I clear the site cache and CTRL+F5 the contact form page it seems to start working again. I’m not sure why that would be? I assume there are some reCAPTCHA cookies being set / tracked – should I be expiring those? What are they? Anyone have any ideas?

Where on the site do you have the form having the issue?

Hi – just on the linked page. There is only one form on the site and that’s it. It will all seem to be working fine, and then suddenly (for reasons I’m trying to figure out) the “Submit” button seems to stop working – causing it to just “spin”. I’m somewhat guessing that it’s related to the reCAPTCHA, because I can’t think of anything else that would interrupt the form submission.

Are you saying about the search form at the top right corner of the page? It is the only form on the page.

If so, Contact Form 7 has nothing to do with it.

Erk! I don’t know what is going on with that link….it should take you to the “Contact Us” page…but doesn’t… does this one work https://www.irricad.com/contact/

Try switching to the default theme, deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7 and Flamingo, and clearing all cache data.

Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.

Hi – I appreciate your time with this, and realise it’s not necessarily your problem, but I don’t think that is going to help. I already find that clearing the cache clears the problem – so disabling the plugins and clearing the cache will likely also clear the problem. Compounding this, the problem seems somewhat random – after some period of working just fine, it crops up again. Unfortunately, I can’t leave the site under the default theme waiting to see if the problem reoccurs. For the same reasons it would be impractical to enable each plugin one-at-a-time to see if one in particular is the cause.

I may have to think of another approach. Perhaps changing my reCAPTCHA keys or ‘downgrading’ to v2.

I’m sorry Takayuki but your answers are just useless and repetitive. ChatGPT could be better if you don’t want to look for the reasons of the issues reported.

It seems that Google Recaptcha make a lot of false positives since some months and Google made nothing.

For my part, I will uninstall recaptcha and I go for hCaptcha.
