I have recently found that I get the following error message when I have Integration with reCAPTCHA setup in CF7.

“There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”

When I remove the keys the form works just fine.

I’m using Divi, latest version and have disabled all plugins except Contact Form 7, WP Mail SMTP, Forms: 3rd-Party Integration, and CF7 Smart Grid Design Extension.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve installed Flamingo and it appears that all form submissions are being flagged as spam by google reCAPTCHA v3. This appears to be an issue with reCAPTCHA based on the following thread:

    https://github.com/google/recaptcha/issues/248

so will close this for now unless it becomes apparant that it’s a CF7 issue vs reCAPTCHA v3 just not working.

    Hello!
I got the same issue. reCAPTCHA v3 not working.
I found “Score threshold should be a value between 0 and 1, default: 0.5” in Elementor Pagebuilder where setup the V3 integration.

    Can this bring us forward?

    deexperte,

Take a look at the github link that I posted. It is a known issue with reCAPTCHA. The only work around that I’ve found is to re-create the keys. Once I set the new keys in the CF7 reCAPTCHA integration the form worked fine. My hope is that they will not need to be reset on a regular basis.

    Brad

Does yours work ok on mobile? I have this issue too but only if sending from mobile (iphone, chrome) for example, seems to work ok from chrome on windows 10. Have tried recreating the keys but still not working on mobile.

    techmaster360,

No, it failed on both desktop and mobile. And it failed across browsers (I tested it in both Chrome and Firefox). Sounds like you might have a different issue. Maybe it’s a caching issue for you, not sure why caching would impact reCAPTCHA but it’s worth a check.

    Hello @bradnjones

my idea is, to check by developer if there is a need to set it to “Score threshold should be a value between 0 and 1, default: 0.5” in cf7.

    deexperte,

For me this wouldn’t really be of much benefit but it may be possible to test this yourself at your own risk. I’ve explained all this in a recent blog post I’ve published on this issue. I hope it helps!
