My contact form works perfectly without the reCaptcha. When I add reCaptcha v3 it returns the spam message error. All I do is enter the keys for reCaptcha v3 and it breaks the form – but just to clarify it works 100% as soon as I remove the reCaptcha keys.

I previously reported this issue when I was using reCaptcha v2, but I didn’t get round to following it up. I’ve now updated everything on my site, including theme, plugins and WP. I changed to using reCaptcha v3 and the same thing happens as with v2.

    Theme: GeneratePress

I was previously asked to provide the following info:

    Screenshot of ‘form’ page: https://gyazo.com/4576b155f2c3a78db1f963adf8e612d5
    Screenshot of ‘mail’ page: https://gyazo.com/76c38b200784949681fec9e39ee508ee

I have tried using a default WP theme, and I have also tried deactivating the “Merge + Minify + Refresh” plug-in that I use.

    Any help appreciated.

  • Have you tried deactivating ALL plugins other than CF7?

I have just tried that Neil and it still does the same thing.

Your Form & Mail setups both look fine.

You get the spam message error on both reCAPTCHA v2 & v3.

You have tried switching to a Default WP theme & deactivating ALL plugins other than CF7.

The only other option I can think of is you have entered your Google reCAPTCHA keys incorrectly on both v2 & v3.

100,000’s of people around the world are using both reCAPTCHA v2 & v3 with CF7 each day.

If it isn’t your theme or the plugins you are using, that might be it.

I went back and re-setup my site keys on the Google reCAPTCHA page and now it works. I had done this several times before and never had any luck. The only thing that I can see that I did differently this time was that I omitted the www. from the start of my domain. I don’t know whether this would or should have made a difference, but I can’t see anything else that I did differently from the 3-4 times I’ve tried re-setting my keys before. Just thought I’d let you know in case this is something that comes up in the future with someone else.

    Thanks for the help.
