• Hello,

I have double opt-in automation. Many bots register and receive a message asking for confirmation of email messages.

Is it possible to implement e.g. recaptcha so that messages are not sent to addresses that do not exist?

We receive a lot of feedback about messages asking for confirmation not reaching us and we get a bounce.

    Hi,

    Thank you for reaching out!

At the moment, the plugin does not offer such functionality, but I appreciate your suggestion. I’ve added it to our idea base for potential future updates. If we implement this feature, I’ll make sure to inform you.

    Kind regards,

Can you say when implementation might be possible?

    Hi,

    Thank you for your follow-up.

Unfortunately, I’m unable to provide an ETA for this feature at the moment. Our team receives a high volume of feature requests, and priorities are set collaboratively by the product team and developers. I’ve reached out to them regarding this specific functionality, but they are not able to confirm when or if they’ll be able to address it.

If I receive any updates on this matter, I’ll make sure to inform you.

    Kind regards,

    Hello.

We are also struggling with bots. Our mailing list has more bots than legitimate users. It would be great to have a Captcha. We use Cloudflare Turnstile on our website, so it would be great to have the option to choose between the most popular Captcha providers (e.g., Google Recaptcha, Cloudflare Turnstile, and HCaptcha). Maybe it’s possible to implement a newsletter sign-up form with another form plugin, i.e. WPForms? I don’t mind writing some code modifications if needed.

It’s really important for us, especially as we use PRO version of the plugin, but currently, we are forced to stop sending newsletters till the issue is solved.

    Best regards!

    Hello,

    As Ksewo mentioned above.

I would appreciate it if you could provide information on whether you plan to introduce any anti-spam protection in the near future. I understand that double opt-in partially addresses the issue, but with the rise of AI, bot attacks have become more frequent, and the database fills up quickly.

A reCAPTCHA triggered upon clicking the first field would be sufficient to mitigate the issue.
