reCaptcha not working perfectlye (Failed to send message)

  • Hi!

    I have a contact form on my site with reCaptcha. When I submit the form, it throws back an orange error which is for spam. I notice that when I remove reCaptcha the form works. So there is a problem with reCaptcha. The API integration is okay, I triple checked it. And please don’t write that I should change back to default theme, because that is not a solution, it’s just you avoiding the problem…

  • @succli – asking you to change back to the default theme is not offering a solution. Rather it’s a common WP problem solving technique. You only need to switch temporarily to see if your theme is causing a problem.

    If the problem remains you know your theme is OK. If the problem is fixed you can hopefully start solving the problem within your theme.

    By the way I’m not suggesting you switch to the default theme, I’m just explaining why you might be asked to do that when you ask questions in the WP forums.

    Same problem for me, I just tried to enable reCaptcha and the form fails to send. Without it, it works fine. As a workaround, I am using quiz instead.

    Could you please verify whethere there is or is not an api change on google side? I have no errors in apache error log.

    How should I proceed? Would you like me to send you a link to my page or is there any other way to provide necessary information?

    Same problem for me. reCAPTCHA input does not even appear on the page (the text before the placeholder does though) but when I remove [recaptcha] messages send perfectly. It is not my theme; tried the default and still does not appear/send.
