    Hello,

    I’m trying your plugin “reCaptcha by BestWebSoft” on one WP website, but there is an issue that when selecting “Enable reCaptcha for Reset password form” in the plugin setting , the reCaptcha is not showing on the reset password page when I use “Forgot Password” option?!!

    And whenever I enter the Email address on the reset password page and click “Submit” button I get a message says “You have entered an incorrect reCAPTCHA value.” !! even there is not reCaptcha showing!!

    Would you Pls. advise and help resolve this issue with your plugin.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

    Please verify that the keys are correct here – https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin#list. If keys are correct, but the problem still remains, please try to generate new keys and enter them on the plugin settings page.

    After this try to follow the next instructions in order to test reCaptcha’s keys:
    1) Go to reCaptcha Settings page;
    2) Click “Test reCaptcha”;
    3) Test your reCaptcha;
    4) Then сlick “Test Verification”;

    Let us know about the result.

    Also, it’s necessary to check reCAPTCHA version because if you switched between Version 2 and Version 3, you should regenerate new keys.

    Hello,
    Thanks for your concern and care to reply,

    The reCaptcha keys on my site are correct and the version is correct (Version-2) and I did the “Test Verification” for my keys when I first entered them in the settings section and they are working fine but your reCaptcha still not showing on the “Reset password form” page!

    For your info. in your “reCaptcha by BestWebSoft” settings I selected only the options “Reset password form” & “Comments form” of WordPress default forms.

    I tried the procedure you’ve mentioned above and regenerated new reCaptcha v.2 keys and entered them in place in settings section and did the “Test Verification” , the test verification succeeded but your reCaptcha still not showing on password reset page (but seems to be active in the background because when I enter the Email in the respective filed of the reset password page and click on submit I get an error says “You have entered an incorrect reCAPTCHA value.” !

    Although your “reCaptcha by BestWebSoft” is working fine and showing on other pages like the “Comments form” page, but only on the “Reset password form” page it is not showing !

    Also for your information, I’m using WooCommerce on my website so I suspect that my site is using password reset form of WooCommerce not the default WP password reset form, and while I’m using your “reCaptcha by BestWebSoft” free version in which the WooCommerce reset password form option is not active in the free version of your plugin that’s why it is not showing on my password reset page! (this is just guessing from my side not sure about it if it’s correct).

    but what puzzles me here is that if I’m correct on my guessing stated above, why your reCaptcha has to work in the background of the reset password form in the first place?!!

    if I’m correct on my guessing and my site is using WooCOmmerce password reset form in which the free version of your plugin is not functional, why your “reCaptcha by BestWebSoft” has to work in the background (non-visible mode) and give the error ““You have entered an incorrect reCAPTCHA value.” when user enter the Email and click “submit” ?!!

    Pls. advise,
    Thanks

    Hi,

    Reset password form for Woocommerce available only on the Pro version.

    “why your “reCaptcha by BestWebSoft” has to work in the background (non-visible mode) and give the error ““You have entered an incorrect reCAPTCHA value.” when user enter the Email and click “submit” ?!!”

    Please provide the link or the screenshot of the page where the problem occurs.

    Hello bestwebsoft,

    Yes I know that Reset password form for Woocommerce available only on the Pro version and that’s what I mentioned above.

    but your “reCaptcha by BestWebSoft” should not work in the background (non-visible mode) and give the error when it is not available for WooCOmmerce password reset form!

    here is a screenshot of the error I get on the password reset page.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately, we cannot reproduce this problem.
    Could you please complete the following steps in order to detect the problem and find its solution:

    1) Activate a default WordPress theme for a while (Twenty Nineteen or Twenty Twenty) and check if the problem remains.
    2) Deactivate all of your plugins except reCaptcha and Woocommerce and also check if the problem is still present. If it is not, activate the plugins one-by-one, meanwhile checking, after which plugin activation the problem appears again.
    3) Provide your System status using the following instruction: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Wi2X8RdRGXk9kMszQy1xItJrpN0ncXgioH935MaBKtc
    4) Contact us back with information about the results.

    Hello bestwebsoft,

    Thank you again for your reply and care.

    I have investigated the issue further and I found that the problem is that my theme is using a custom form for reset password (form.php) file. not the default WP reset password form and not the default WooCommerce reset password form.

    Here is screenshot of the code inside the custom form.php file for password reset:

    https://paste.pics/bb02d79ee3be9d68cc655e239aef6163

    I tried to modify and add some codes to show the reCaptcha and the reCaptcha appeared indeed but the problem is that it has no effect on the form action, means whether you solved the reCaptcha or not you still can click on the button button reset without the need to solve the reCaptcha!!

    any advise?

    Thank you,

    Hello bestwebsoft,

    Thank you for your reply and care.

    Although the explanation in the link you provided is a bit confusing and not clear, but

    Yes as I told you I have followed the instruction in the link you provided here above and I got the reCAptcha to appear on my custom form but the problem is that it has no effect on the form action, means whether you solved the reCaptcha or not you still can click on the button button reset without the need to solve the reCaptcha!!

    can you give strait forward code or clear description than what is given in the link above?

    thank you,

    Hi

    I am experiencing the same error.
    Unless I uncheck “Reset password form” for WordPress, the reCaptcha does not appear, worse the password reset does not work at all!

    “Error while not allowing to Reset Password, please contact admin”

    Its very disappointing when you buy a plugin and see such errors

    To be honest, I have no technical knowledge in coding. I am just a user that is trying setting up my online store (woocommerce)

    Thanks
