reCAPTCHA no longer working, forms won’t submit

    NOTE: This problem was solved. I’m leaving it here in order to assist other users.

    MY SOLUTION: I regenerated the reCAPTCHA keys via Google’s Admin interface. I replaced the old keys with the new. Everything works as expected now. Very unusual solution, but I’ll take it. Moving on …

    Hi,

    My contact form does not work anymore. When submitting, here is the message:

    There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.

    I’ve done the following:

    • Disabled ALL plugins except for the CF7 plugin
    • Switched themes to the most basic, stock WP theme
    • Removed the CF7 plugin via the file system and reinstalled via the “Add New” dialog

    The contact form submission still fails.

    The only time that a successful submission happens is if I navigate to:

    Contact > Integration: [reCAPTCHA] Setup Integration > Remove Keys

    Once the keys are removed, everything works fine.

    Thanks for any direction as I have a few sites that are affected by this.
