  • Hi AndSmith,

You will also need to select the Google reCaptcha option in your form setting. After doing this you will have reCaptcha enabled on your site.

    Hi abhashdc,

    Thank you for your reply.

I enabled Form setting >> Enable reCaptcha Support >> Yes
But Captcha is still not displayed. At bottom right a small Recaptcha privacy – terms floating slider appeared.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi @andsmith,

I guess you are using reCaptcha v3. Recaptcha v3 is not visible to users. You can use reCaptcha v2 for checkbox reCaptcha. Please follow the following documentation for more.

    Hi @andsmith,

It seems to be working now. ReCaptcha’s Checkbox is being rendered. Please have a look at your page.

    Hi Rumesh,

V2 Recaptcha is working but it shows only “I’m not a robot” select box. Isn’t it possible to display the images? For example: “Select images of buses” My client still gets fake registrations.

    Thanks

    Hi Rumesh,

Please help us. The client gets several fake registrations daily even with Captcha.

    Thanks

    Hi @andsmith,

Sorry for the delay. I just checked your site and it seems that you have core login enabled. Please disable it as it is the main source for spam registration. You can do so by going into User Registration> Settings> Login Option> Mark Prevent Core login. Don’t forget to go to General Option and then select User Registration’s my account page in my account section. My account page is the page where you have the shortcode [user_registration_my_account] or should I say it’s your login page.
Now every time you will log in through that particular login page.

Let me know if you are still having issues.

    Regards

    Hello @abhashdc,

Thank you for your reply. I followed the steps but unfortunately, didn’t stop spam registrations. There are 17 new users since yesterday. Is there any more security steps?
Should WP-admin > General > Membership: “Anyone can register” be selected?

    Thank you,
    Andsmith
