I’m using the Forminator and Complianz plugins on my website and I’ve noticed that the reCaptcha cookie is not blocked even if the user has clicked on reject cookies on the Complianz banner.

When visiting the Quote page of my website, where the Forminator form is protected by reCaptacha v3, if I reject the cookies on the Complianz banner, no cookie is loaded.

If I then fill out the form and click Send, the form is sent and a google reCaptcha cookie is written in my browser: https://imgur.com/a/VvlY6KN

I think that shouldn’t be possible. The cookie should’ve been blocked by Complianz and the form rendered inoperative.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @olbro,

Could you confirm that you’ve configured this as per the steps listed in the below article? https://complianz.io/configuring-recaptcha-and-consent-in-forminator/

    Kind regards, Jarno

Thank you for the help. The Load form using AJAX setting was not disabled, that’s what I was missing.

I have another problem now. The message asking to accept cookies to enable the content is only in French, even on the English form. Is it possible to have this message in another language, preferably the same as the form page?

    Hi @olbro,

Glad to hear you were able to correct the behavior with these instructions!

As for translating the ‘blocked content text’, you can achieve this with the “String Translation” feature in multi-language plugins such as PolyLang and WPML. This will allow you to change the text separately for each of the languages that your site uses.

    Thank you for your reply.

I use the Polylang plugin and that “blocked_content_text” string is not available in the translations. There’s tons of Complianz stuff in there but not that ??

@jarnovos Do you know where I can find that string? Is it part of WordPress or is it from a plugin? I’m not getting any reply from Polylang regarding this issue and I’m at a loss as to what I should be doing to fix this.

    Hi @olbro,

This is a Complianz string. As long as you have PolyLang enabled, you should be able to navigate to Complianz > Settings > General and click the Save button here; which should then result in this blocked_content_text string appearing under String Translations in PolyLang.

    Kind regards, Jarno

navigate to Complianz > Settings > General and click the Save button

THANK YOU! That’s all I had to do, now that string is available in the Polylang translations.
