Getting 2 error messages from recaptcha. First message is that after I check the recaptcha box, before I can fill in address and credit card number, I get an error that the recaptcha timed our and requires verfication again. After I check it again, I get an error message saying I have to check the recaptcha box again.

Second test was to defer checking the recaptcha box til all the other required information was entered into the form. when i did, I still got the error message as follows: Please check the ReCAPTCHA box to confirm you are not a bot.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi, JMS. Sorry for this issue. I am actively working on this and should have an update tonight.

You could try to set up and use ReCAPTCHA v3 in the meantime, which shouldn’t have this issue. After our fix ReCAPTCHA v2 will work.

Where do I even set up the reCaptcha to change to v3???? I thought it was done in the plugin!

JMS you enable reCaptcha and choose which type in the advance area of PMPro.
    Memberships > Settings > Advanced

There are fields to add the keys you get from Google.
There are different keys for 2 & 3 and it must be enabled with Google.

PMPro 2.5.4 just went out with a fix for this.

That update includes a lot of other enhancements and fixes. If you’d like to manually patch your version 2.5.3 instead, you can make the change here: https://github.com/strangerstudios/paid-memberships-pro/commit/be2f4ca9a09cfbfa09de3fefe32db3edd8c7d459

Let us know if you are still having issues after updating.

Thanks Jason – FYI, I have auto updates enabled and the plugin updated to 2.5.4 overnite…however, that version was still buggy. I re-installed a fresh copy of 2.5.4 from github just a few minutes ago, and it works fine. There may be others with auto update that may experience the same issue….thanks! Everything working now!
