    Hello,

we have got several websites with W3 Total Cache installed and every time we need to make changes to these websites we have the same problem: The cached files aren’t rebuilding, not even on clicking the “empty all caches” button in the backend.
Is there a way to rebuild all cached files (beside renaming a file) so that every user that has visited the site in the past doesn’t see a version that has been cached by his browser?

    Regards

    Jonas Resch

    Hello,

Go to Performance>Browser cache, scroll down to HTML&XML and enable “Set expires header” this option sets the expires header to encourage browser caching of files.

    Hello Marko,

    thanks for your reply.
This option is already checked in our configuration, the timeout is set to 3600.
Do you have any other suggestions on how to solve this problem?

    Hello,

Have you tried using cache preload? Performance>Page cache and scroll down to cache preload and choose desired update interval

Cache Preload is what you are after. It works in batches. Make sure to provide a sitemap url or it won’t work.

    Hello Marko,

    sorry I didn’t reply. I didn’t have time to test it out…
Is there a way to mark the topic as resolved or archive it in the meantime? Because I don’t know if I will be able to test it in the near future.

    Regards,

    Jonas
