Really confused on how to set this up. Pls help.

I am trying to set up WP Forms but my mail isn’t going through and I understand that I need to use the SMTP plugin however there is one thing I don’t understand. I want to use my site admin email address to receive the entries from the contact form but that email is my site admin email which I will use as the “From” setting…Meaning when somebody submits a wpform on my site the email will be sent from my gmail account to the same gmail account? I don’t get it. Am i supposed to set up another gmail account?
