• Hi, Does anyone knows a REAL solution that can protect the plugin/theme?

I found that Freemius/Easy digital download/Appsero or any other software license managers are not safe, people could have just download the plugin/theme, remove the code/lines that are required by these software license managers, and then the plugin/theme would be able to use like normal.

Yeah, I know WordPress is under GPL and therefore, plugin/theme too. Just asking if this is possible, or an “idea/concept of PHP” that can be implemented in order to protect the plugin/theme, not necessarily a platform or software.

No. It’s 99.99999999% time impossible and accomplishes nothing.

Then don’t use those plugins or themes.

Obfuscating code that you are using does not make is “safe” and never will. Attackers will scan your site and will pick up that you are running an unsafe plugin or theme. Especially if the vulnerability is published or distributed already.

Sometimes a website is live, in production and the site owner may not want to make that hard choice. Depending on the site it’s a risk/rewards calculation. But the right thing to do is to try and mitigate the risk and actively work to replace that unsafe code.
