• Just wondering if anybody out there is working on a plugin to display IDX feed (MLS listings) in a WP blog. I seem to be getting requests lately to develop sites for real estate brokers. It may be possible for me to get someone to pay for such a plugin to be developed.

I’m hoping Roger Theriault will see this as it would be a great addition to his Great Real Estate plugin, which currently does not seem to support display of listings from incoming feeds, although it does send exclusive listings out through outbound real estate feeds, which is nice.

    Thanks

  • Hey Mitch(AZHousing),

I go out of my way to answer all your questions via email today and this is how you choose to respond? I’ve got to say, I’m a little disappointed in you Mitch.

I’m sorry that our software platform and “bundled” plugin didn’t suite your needs. However, it’s become very apparent that you’re searching for something completely different than what we’re offering. I was going to take your advice and change the wording on the “bundled” thing, but I think I’ll leave it as is. Good luck finding a free plugin does everything you’re after.

Like I mentioned before, I encourage feedback from anyone. But, I do ask one thing from you, and that is that you at least know what you’re talking about before you start making claims like that in public. Anyone who does a little research can see there’s definitely nothing fake, phoney or dishonest about anything I’ve said here or on our sites https://homequestgroup.com or https://wordpressidxplugin.com.

If anyone needs further clarification on anything, feel free to contact me.

Yeah you are a freaking salesman, that’s your job. People send you questions and you answer them. Then you try to make a sale. Don’t understand why I had to explain your job description to you.

As for the plugin..You advertised it on this forum as an IDX Plugin solution for wordpress. You never said it HAD to be part of a larger package which you charge and arm and a leg for. Numerous times you said, We are developing an IDX plugin for wordpress…FALSE..you are developing an IDX plugin for your own HomeQuest software which uses wordpress as a platform.

It seems that since wordpress is free and there are millions of plugins that are also free that you are raping the core of what wordpress is about. Making a profit on the backs of people that did the work for free.

I thought it was pretty clear in my description above. Here it is again incase you missed it the first time:

“Our company, HomeQuest (https://homequestgroup.com) has developed a full map based property search/CRM solution that now includes a WordPress IDX plugin.”

Notice how that’s worded? “Our software solution NOW INCLUDES a wordpress IDX plugin.” To most people, that should be fairly self explanatory. Yes, we’re selling a software package. It now includes a wordpress plugin so that agents who already have a wordpress site don’t have to migrate their whole site over to our platform.

I understand you’re bitter that you can’t find a free solution but that’s how the world works these days Mitch. Do a little more research. You’ll find that $80 per month is actually one of the less expensive solutions for what we’re providing.

For the record, I’m not a salesman. I’m the marketing director, who just decided to help out and answer your questions. Glad we could get this all cleared up for you. Good luck in your search.

    Jeff
